Just few days until the transfer window closes. Managers, scouts and agents are all working overtime to get deals done.
The big three stories of the transfer window have been the ‘will they/won’t they’ sagas of Wayne Rooney, Luis Suarez and Gareth Bale.
But with the clock ticking down to the closing of the transfer window, it looks likely that Rooney and Suarez will stay put, though a move for Bale is still on the cards.
The transfer window usually closes on August 31, at midnight. But this year August 31 is a Saturday, so managers have a couple of extra days to bag big signings and boost their squads.
The transfer window will officially close on midnight on Monday September 2, at which point it will remain closed for four months until January.
The last few days could see a buzz of activity and a number of big name signings.
