Kelechi Iheanacho’s outstanding performance at the Fifa Under-17 World Cup may ultimately make him a ‘Gunner’ as Arsenal are reportedly making moves to sign the wonder-kid.
Iheanacho almost single-handedly brought Mexico to their knees as he scored four goals en-route to Nigeria recording a 6-1 win over the defending champions in the opening game of Group F.
Reports show that Arsenal have sent their chief scout Steve Rowley to the UAE, and he has been impressed by the potentials of the teenager.
Fifa-licensed agent Henry Galeano who represents the 17-year-old recently revealed that close to a dozen European clubs have registered an interest in signing Iheanacho.
Arsenal are however hoping to beat their European rivals to the signature of the attacking midfielder who has not less than four goals, and four assists to his credit so far.
